W.A.S.A. Wireless sustainability journey:

Real-world steps towards a greener future

Sustainability is a guide post, not a popular trend

Sustainability is not a passing trend, it’s a lifestyle. There's no doubt we live in an era where consumer awareness about sustainability continues to grow. Research shows that 82% of customers want to see brands embrace sustainability and people-centered strategies.

In 2023, consumers will hold brands accountable for promoting the sustainability agenda. 46% of consumers expect brands to lead the way toward sustainable change. Selfridges "Project Earth" is a great example of how retail can be reinvented with sustainability at the forefront, a mindset that can benefit all segments of commerce. It’s no longer enough to have an eco-friendly product on the shelf; consumers want to see sustainability thinking permeate the entire supply chain.

With consumers demanding transparency throughout the supply chain, it’s clear that buyers must choose suppliers that share the same sustainability values. This is why we want to highlight the sustainability work of W.A.S.A. Wireless.

W.A.S.A.'s Commitment to Sustainability

At W.A.S.A. Wireless, sustainability is not just a buzzword, it's the core of our business. Our mission is to create products that are not only aesthetically pleasing, functional, and popular but also sustainable and responsibly produced. Sure, it’s popular to talk green action now, but for us, it’s also part of our fundamental values as people and citizens of the world.

Packaging Innovation:

We have made several changes in our packaging design to maximize sustainability at every turn.

  • We have removed all plastic and switched to FSC-certified paper in our packaging.
  • We have implemented environmentally friendly paper tape to seal packages.
  • The soy ink we use for printing significantly reduces our environmental impact.
  • By introducing QR codes for our manuals, we have been able to reduce paper use further, a small but important step towards a more sustainable operation.

Transportation and Distribution:

By maximizing the use of sea freight, we have managed to significantly reduce our carbon footprint.

Sea freight generates up to 47 times less greenhouse gas emissions compared to air freight.

This requires more planning and coordination, sure, but the result is a significant reduction in our environmental impact.
